I have been given experiences on here for years and I was always honest with you all. O'Brien's in granite City deserves a zero rating. They are racist. They treated me like they were racist. The short bald head guy with the tattoos. I had appointments scheduled at 9:00. I got a little turned around due to the traffic in that area. So I called them about 9:05 left on hold at 9:08 arrived at 9:11. He had saying that he can't do my wheel alignment after I made him appointment that Monday. So now here is Wednesday and you can't do the wheel alignment because I was 10 minutes late. They wouldn't have done their regular older white customers like that. It was a lady pulling up when I was pulling off so he can't tell me that her appointment wasn't for 9:00. He talked to me really bad and when I came to belligerent he acted if he was the victim. The time he spent disrespecting me he could have done the wheel alignment. That man treated me as if I called his house. Not a company. !!! Do not, especially if you are black patronize Obriens in granite City for anything. I live there for years and I never went there. I was referred to them by cheapies in granite City. No, I had the worst experience ever at this O'Brien's in granic City. You all cannot treat people like that. Racism does not no longer exist or it doesn't supposed to!!!!!! My photo actually show I call at 8:59 and at that time he was telling me he couldn't do my wheel alignment. He didn't ask how soon could I get there or anything? Look at this complaint... To say that he couldn't do my wheel alignment because I was late by minutes

I was completely fed up with the larger auto care shops, so after learning about Obriens, I started taking my car there. Justin and his team are fantastic to work with, much better than the big franchises. I’ll continue using their services as long as my car needs work in the St. Louis area. They’re honest, and if they make a mistake, they own up to it—unlike those unpleasant large shops.

We are so happy to hear of the wonderful experience you shared. Is it our goal to treat every customer with the best in class service you described. Our integrity is our guiding star!

I went to have 2 tires put on and a wheel alignment. I had the tires already. I had to have 2 appointment they were 9:00 and 10:00 am. They put the tires on pull my vehicle out and waited till 10:25 then they said they did a diagnostic to do wheel alignment. So after they put the tires on did the diagnostic they tell me they could not do an alignment and the reason was because they said I needed a tie rod end, and 2 bushings with the amount of $735.85. I had to pay for another diagnostic. I took my car too another reputable dealer and they did the test and found nothing wrong with any of these part and they did the wheel alignment which all it needed was some adjustment and they did it for $109.00. You people tried to rip me off and I am not happy with your company at all. I give you all a one star.

We deeply regret your feedback being negative and we certainly do not want you to feel ill will towards us. In our 118 years of auto repair, we have always been 100% transparent with our work by offering the customer to return with their vehicle to show them our findings if they or another shop disagrees. We asked you to return with the Traverse so we can show you what we found during the evaluation which we perform before every alignment, because industry standard is that you do not do an alignment when there are bad front-end parts. YOU REFUSED our offer and paid them more than we charge for a service that should not have been performed. We cannot help it if another's opinion is that your parts are okay. It does not mean we are wrong. We simply disagree with that opinion. You can also look up your parts on Moog’s website and see what they have to say. In this situation, the best/fair way to rectify this is for you to return with your vehicle so we can show you what we determined to be failing parts and regain your trust. And, if we are wrong, we will gladly give you a refund. Clara, once again, we ask that you please give us the opportunity to help you take the best care of your car, and we look forward to hearing from you!

I bought tires and they had said alignment was included but i had to replace some parts first. Once i replaced the parts, they wouldn't do an alignment without an extra charge. On top of that they charged $15 as a credit card processing fee, and they charged $20 to balance the brand new tires. Ridiculous. They used to be a good place to go but now they just care about taking people's money.
