They are friendly, knowledgeable, and they let me know about a rebate I hadn’t known about, which saved me some money. The lobby has a Route 66 theme with a retro feel, and they provide snacks and beverages, which made waiting more comfortable. It sounds simple and basic but so many places lack it so I cherish it when I encounter it. I walked in without an appointment and was able to get taken care of fairly quickly. The waiting area was clean and comfortable. I’m also happy with the actually work done on my vehicle. I had a flat tire and thought I needed a new one. To my great surprise and glee, I found out that it could be repaired. I thought I was going to have to spend a couple hundred bucks but only spent a fraction. Eric suggested I look at the Kenda line of tires to replace my factory 2022 Chevrolet Trail Boss Wrangler off road tires. The Wranglers were extremely loud on road surfaces and you could feel the tread contacting the pavement. The new Kendas have an aggressive looking tread but not the problems of the Wranglers (loud and knobby feeling). Not only do I like the tire more but were about 30% cheaper. I wouldn't have known these existed if it wasn't for Eric. Thanks and another satisfied customer.

O'Brien is the best place to visit. Went to the Mazda dealer and they told me that both brakes on car were bad and needed to be replaced and then flushed. Got the rear brakes done by them and then went to O'Brien to do the front brakes. O'Brien called me up and let me know there was no point in replacing the front brakes or flushing at this time since the front brakes were still over half on the pads. They saved me $500 for the combination of brakes + flushing through them, and easily over $800 at dealer. Highly recommend O'Brien for your needs as they won't just do things that make no sense.

The online booking is a great feature. On this particular booking I got the text confirmation an hour before the appointment, but that was ok. I booked the night before and knew when I would be in town. Plugging the hole where the screw was took an hour, but I think they had a staff meeting after lunch and did not think to change the online booking program to block out time for their staff meeting. We were traveling from NJ to KC with a boat we had just bought.. when 2 of the 6 tires shred to almost nothing. We recently had issues with the brakes on our minivan and took it to O’Brien since they replaced them previously. They said the rotors needed replaced so they replaced them. Shortly after the brakes started squealing so I called and they replaced them again at no cost. This happened two more times and they ended up calling their district supply manager and they ended up replacing both the rotors and brake pads with the top of the line platinum option at no cost. It turns out that the type of minivan we have was the real issue and not the product they were using however they looked at them 4 times at no additional cost. Long story short, Justin and the service team are so easy to work with and super helpful. We will only use O’Brien from here on out

The oil changes here are great because they tell me when something is going to need addressing in the future so I can save up for a maintenance item and keep my car in good shape. I'd rather pay a little now and then for maintenance than run into a major repair cos because nobody told me about it. I like my car and don't want to buy a different car for a long time, so I appreciate they're looking out for me. You can't get that kind of service at a quick lube.

Well I had a screw in my right front tire had them put a patch in my tire. Nothing wrong with my tires less than year half old ran great before I took it in for the screw. Got it patched and when I got it on the hiway couldn't go over 64-65 mph they didn't balance my tire after patching it so I took it back to them 2 days later they did take care of it and balanced it. It runs like it did before the screw so I have to say they do back up there work

Discovered a flat tire on Sunday morning as I prepared to leave for church. Sunday afternoon AAA came and replaced the tire with the temporary tire that is supplied with your car purchase. There was a big (approximately) 4” iron bolt stuck into the tire. That tire was obviously not going to be repaired. Since it was the Memorial Day weekend, we had AAA put the temporary tire on and decided to just use our alternate car for necessary trips around town. We showed up at O’Brien’s at 8 am on Tuesday, May 31. There were two other customers waiting when we got there. Our assigned employee discussed several options. My 2017 Subaru Forester has 52,000 miles on it. This was our first flat tire for this vehicle. It was suggested that we really needed to get 4 tires because the ones we had were too old to be able to depend on them and they had worn unevenly because they didn’t get enough tire rotations. We knew this was good advice, so we decided on one of the Cooper tire models. We had a doctor appointment in St. Louis West County area that morning so we left the car with them, and they said they would call when it was finished. Around 10:30 a.m. we were on our way home from the doctor appointment when we got the phone call that the car was finished and ready to go. Excellent service!

A few minutes after tuck got pulled into garage service man can out and told me he had something to show me. The tech had scratched my wheel with the tire removal machine. Great experience with O'brien Tire. After changing a few parts on my own, still had problems with my truck. They took all the information on what I did and diagnosed the problem from there. Ended up being an exhaust issue. Vance recommended me to a muffler shop, letting me know that it would cost me a lot more for them to do it. After taking care of it myself, there was another problem. Once again, Vance walked me through diagnostic codes on the truck and helped run down the problem. Turned out to be a sensor on the transmission that had come unplugged. I have had my Jeep serviced there a couple of times. They are always SO NICE and willing to accommodate. Each time I have been there they have went above and beyond in some way. Recently, my break lines got sliced. I work at a hospital so my schedule is difficult. Vance the manager worked me in and got it taken care of really fast and even replaced my blinker and a couple of other things as a courtesy. That meant the world to me because I’m working my way through nursing and at this level have very little time and especially money. I went back 2 weeks ago and he got me in super fast during the day while I slept and had it ready to go before I went to work. It’s nice as a single woman to go to a place for service and have confidence that they’re not trying to take advantage. I feel so much better just walking in. After 5 weeks of Car-X charging me around $1,700 and my engine light continuously coming on they replaced a part that they put on from the first time I had them work on it. Lucky I was able to get a refund for $1011.62 and O'Brien is only charging around $250 for was was wrong the hole time. I could try to make Car-X pay for it but after all the time it took and waiting for the district manager who was there but didn't address me till they decided to bring my car in which that was a 7:30am appointment. But they decided to work on another vehical before mine. So wasting more of me time than necessary. O'Brien has 100% treated me better. I haven't had to wait for shutle service to and from my home other than waiting on them to come back from droping off the person before me. I don't hear bro I hear Mr. And O'Brien has the tools thats needed. I don't have to go to another City to get my car fixed becouse Car-X has a master Mechanic and they want me to wast my gas and time going their because he has all the specialty tool need just for my car. Why was I paying for anything less than the best. They are charging for it thats for sure. Just go to O'Brien save yourself time, money, headache, and argument. In fact their is no argument just a grat job done. Thank you for taking care of me O'Brien and while i hope my car doesn't break down I know it is in great hands when it does.

I can’t thank Josh enough for coming out in a cold rainy night to put air in my tires (very close to closing time) until I could come back to get my tire fixed... sometimes I think my tires are magnets to nails. When I made it back, there was Josh...he fixed my tire and changed my headlamp bulb that went out on my way home from work. I won’t go anywhere else for tires. Don’t think I have ever been treated so well by an auto service business. I went in for a simple oil change that was long past due. They not only changed my oil, but aired up my tires, topped off my fluids, and vacuumed my floor. I already knew that my car was needs brakes but the mechanic politely informed me which ones actually needed replaced without me saying a word and giving me a quote for the service. Normally, it irritates me when auto services do this because I feel like they are trying to push sales onto me, but this case was different as I already knew they needed work. But mostly, I appreciated that the worker talked to me just like any other customer. I have been talked down to so I am always hesitant when getting work done. All in all, it was the little things that made this experience. After having a rough day, I left almost in tears because of the great service I received here. I won’t go anywhere else.

Had a nail in my tire, waited over 2 hours at a large chain store just for them to tell me it was in an area of the tire that apparently couldn’t be plugged/patched. Took it to O’Brien the next day instead expecting to buy a new tire, ended up being in a completely repairable part of the tire and they had it fixed about 30mins after I got there. It’s been about a month now and the plug has held perfectly. Service was fast, cheap, and they were extremely friendly and helpful. Couldn’t have had a better experience and would absolutely recommend them

I have been a Supervisor for over 30 years in customer service. So I know fair prices and great service. It feels more like family than just guys at the mechanic shop. They listen to my concerns when I take my car in and offer recommendations without being pushy. Every business should look at this Business model to learn how to stay in business and how to treat clients. I am so blessed to have been lead to such a great establishment. Anytime I have a problem, they are the first on my list to contact. The repairs they have done not only saved my car but my life. One time came to them, they found not one but 2 tires with nails. I have taken my cars here for years and there is no replacement in my book. Also almost 10,000 miles later, I am still driving on the same tires they fixed. They are Amazing!!!

They were great! We hit something on the interstate that shredded our front tire. We limped into a gas station and they called O'Brien Tire to come help us. Steve was very friendly and helpful. He had the tire changed and ready to go quickly. We purchased a new tire from their store and they were very reasonably priced. While having a regular tire rotation my car lock was broken. Nobody brought it to my attention but I noticed it right away and complained. They fixed it no charge the next week. I would give 5 stars if they had owned up to it without me having to discover it myself. It worries me that something less noticeable would be allowed to slide. On a side note the owner is great and helped get my kids to school when I stopped in with a flat on the way to taking the kids to school.

These guys are always fantastic and this visit was no different. Woke up to a flat tire and couldn't get the wheel off to apply the spare. Called o'brien, and they came out with a truck, took the wheel off, put the spare on and met me at the shop to fix my tire. They patched the slow leak, put my tire back on, explained everything, and gave me a fantastic deal on the service. These guys are top-notch, and I don't take my car anywhere else.

85 years of working on cars and selling tires, what business lasts that long anymore with big names gobbling up the little shops like this. There's a reason! These guys are THE BEST at what they do - fix cars and work on tires. Fast, friendly service at a fair price. It's a family owned business and they still live in Granite. They fixed my car for a lot less than the dealers estimate or a competitors. I get free rotation on my tires, awesome, and the oil changes I get there are full service at a good price. As a single mom I need to know my car is checked out on a routine basis, by guys that are experienced on top of it. O'Brien's is a gem, why go anywhere else.

This is easily the best place in the Granite City area for tire issues. I have a really bad habit of running over sharp objects and puncturing my tires. This place can get them patched up and back on the road, usually within a half hour, no matter how busy they are. The staff is always great, they let you know exactly what happened. Prices have gone up in recent years, but to get my vehicle back on the road in a hurry and done right, it's still under $20. The one thing I wish is that they had a little later hours on weekdays. If you have a 9-5 you won't make it in. They do have an overnight box, but that only works if you don't need your car back right away. But, since that's my biggest complaint, this place gets 5 stars!

For the Full Service Garage, they will tell you what is needed, what has to be done immediately, and what can wait. Which as a single mother on a limited budget, this can be a lifesaver!
